Louis Chenevert has served in various places and at different positions. At United Technologies Corporation, Louis served as the former CEO and Chairman and left it at a better place than he found it. It was in April 2008 when Louis became the CEO and President of the company and became Chairman on 2010 January. He was committed to those positions and worked diligently until November 2014 when he retired. Since March 2006, Louis served as the COO, Director, and President of United Technologies. From April 1999, he served at Pratt & Whitney as President up to 2006.
Louis had spent about 14 years working at General Motors before he went to work at Pratt & Whitney. Here, he served as the general manager in charge of production. Louis has worked in many places and this is why his profile in terms of expertise and skills is rich. Between 2017 and 2017, Louis was the Senior Advisor in the Banking Division at Goldman Sachs Merchant. The India-US CEO Forum has him as a board member. He has also served as a Business Council member in this CEO Forum.
At Cargill Inc., Louis is one of the Board Directors. The Congressional Honor Foundation has also had him as its Chairman in 2011. From late 2017, Louis has been the Chairman of the Advisory Board at Yale Cancer Center. In 2005, Louis was inducted as an American Institute Fellow of Astronautics and Aeronautics. He holds a bachelor of Commerce degree with a specialty in production management. He went to the Montreal University and graduated with Honorary Doctorate in 2011. He happens to be the Chairman and founding director of HEC Friends.
